Chatbots: What can they do for you? SO MANY THINGS!!! First of all, I build chatbots. So this post is going to be slightly counter-productive for me since I’m telling you how you can do it yourself. Although, I wouldn’t turn down anyone who didn’t have the time to put the work in. It’s QUITE time consuming, but really worth it. Please message me if you want some help.

Did you know –

  • It can handle 80% of your customer service
    • FAQ
    • Answer questions in a conversational manner
    • Steer customers
  • It can make sales
    • Recommend products
    • Have an entire conversation narrowing down your customer’s preferences
    • Add products directly to their cart
  • It can resolve problems
    • Returns
    • Refunds

Here’s an example for one I built. FYI – this thing saved me EIGHTY HOURS of time on Facebook Messenger fielding customer service questions over a THREE MONTH campaign. To be clearer – this annual event ran a three month long campaign every year and I spent an average of 95 hours over that three months period in past years. This was by far the most powerful tool I used for building a following.

To give you an idea of what it did for me –

  • It answered FAQs
  • It gave away free stuff (see below) for page likes
  • It gave directions to the event
  • It provided the menu
  • It introduced itself to people who commented on posts and asked if they had questions
  • And generally just saved me time to put toward other aspects of the campaign

So, looking at the picture below, you can see the flow of conversation that would start when anyone commented on the post that said FREE GREEK COOKBOOK. You can see he had a whole persona with a name and some jokes. This one post/giveaway got this fledgeling Facebook page around 1000 likes in about 2 days. I was focusing on likes because the campaign revolved mostly around an event page every year. We would get 30k attending/interested on the event and barely any like on that main page. Which meant that next year when we start a new event page, all the people following last year’s event were lost. This helped mitigate those losses.
